These four teams remain in contention for the prestigious continental trophy that comes with a spot at the 2026 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship. The other seven participating teams will also continue competing in classification matches to fill the remaining places in the final standings.
Vietnam delighted the home fans in Hanoi with an impeccable run of four 3-0 victories to top the table in Pool A without a set dropped. They emphatically swept their games against Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei, India and Australia, piling up an impressive total point record of 300-163.
Chinese Taipei managed to beat Australia and Hong Kong in straight sets, and India in four sets to finish pool runners-up on a 3-1 win-loss record and progress to the semifinals.
In the two most interesting games of the pool, Hong Kong squeezed out nail-biting five-set wins over India and Australia to edge them into the third place in the final Pool A standings on 2-2, and leave them behind in fifth (0-4) and fourth (1-3), respectively.

The Philippines managed to edge Kazakhstan in the tight race for the first place in Pool B in their head-to-head duel on Thursday’s last competition day of the pool stage. They hammered out a 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-19) shutout of the opponent and finished on top of the table on a 4-1 win-loss record and 13 points. The Philippines’ only loss so far came on Monday at the hands of Iran in a five-set battle.
Despite Thursday’s defeat, Kazakhstan also booked a spot in the semifinals as Pool B runners-up, also on 4-1, but one point short of the Philippines.
The Iranian team had the most exhausting pool stage campaign, playing a total of 23 sets in five matches – three five-setters and two four-setters. It was only good enough for a third-place finish on a 3-2 win-loss record. Their middle blocker Zahra Salehi impressed with a total of 23 stuffs so far, at least eight more than any other player in the tournament.
Indonesia, whose outside hitter Ersandrina Devega was the most prolific player of the pool stage with an amazing total of 96 points, or 28 clear on top of the best scorers chart, finished in fourth place on 2-3. Mongolia, on 1-4 and 3 points, and New Zealand, on 1-4 and 2, finished fifth and sixth in the pool, respectively.
