The capital of the state of Pará, Belém is one of the largest cities in the North region of Brazil - founded in 1616, it's home to just under 1.4 million people. As many as 42 islands are part of Belém, accounting for 65% of its territory. Belém is nationally known for hosting the "Círio de Nazaré", one of the most popular religious celebrations in the country.
HOST CITY: 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship

Inaugurated in 2016, the Guilherme Paraense Arena, also known as Mangueirinho, will be home to the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship matches. The 12,000-seat stadium is the largest and most modern arena in the North Region of Brazil and has hosted major sports events over the last few years, most notably a Brazilian Men's Superliga match last February that had over 9,000 fans in attendance and the Women's Basketball Olympic Qualifier in 2024.
